Huffman Corporation is based in Clover, South Carolina, USA. A small community in upstate South Carolina, Clover is located only 30 miles from the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport. Our facility houses office areas for engineering, sales, production, accounting, purchasing, information services and other support personnel.
Huffman's Engineering Staff design, develop and integrate mechanical, electrical, control and software systems into a productive machine tool. Huffman customers receive the benefit of our full-lifecycle engineering committment. Huffman engineers are involved early in the development process, from requirements definition to product and process development and testing. They also work closely with Field Service on maintenance and service issues; and Huffman engineers are continuously looking at ways to make your current or older model Huffman machine systems easier to use and more productive. Huffman Manufacturing is proud to be ISO-9000-2000 Certified. Our expansive manufacturing facility allows for simultaneous production of multiple machine orders. We have introduced Lean Manufacturing into our work flow. This side-by-side manufacturing and the use of production teams ensure quality and consistency in all our products.
Huffman's materials management system is based on an engineer to order ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system. From customer orders through aftermarket services, job scheduling, material requirements and inventory management this system integrates the whole of our Operations Department. Huffman's materials management service is overseen by ISM (Integrated Supply Management) and APICS (American Production Inventory Control Society) certified professionals.
Huffman's Demonstration Hall offers visiting customers the opportunity to see our machines producing parts. Working closely with our customers to develop their process, improve productivity and ensure part quality is crucial to Huffman's mission.
Huffman strives to be technologically advanced. Through our IT, software and engineering departments, we support and program in many different operating systems. Flexibility and adherence to open industry-standard platforms makes it easier to service a wide variety of customers. Being current in all information systems technology is our goal, from computing systems, software and training. We are especially proud that our IT department has maintained all current certifications for Microsoft Network Systems. We place a significant emphasis on technology, because it's our business.
Customer and Field Service
Our Customer and Field Service Staff are ready to assist with questions, training needs, upgrades and maintenance of all Huffman products. Huffman takes great pride in servicing our machines direct from our factory. Huffman's highly-qualified, full-time service staff are dispatched to meet your needs. When not traveling, our Field Service Engineers work along with production, assisting with new machine development or retrofits and upgrades of older Huffman models. This cross-functional training provides experience that comes from hands-on knowledge of Huffman products.
