Make or buy. What's the right decision? It varies depending upon your specific situation.

Where you need to move fast to respond to a business opportunity or where the initial volumes are smaller or when capital planning takes a little longer, you may choose to have Huffman manufacture the product for you.

In some cases the newly developed process may be such an improvement over current technology that a capital purchase cannot be justified because the efficiency of the process will only fractionally occupy a machine. You may decide that you want to take full advantage of the opportunity and an immediate capital investment makes the most sense. With a compelling reason to buy, we can then move the process to your plant with fully trained personnel. You begin making money from the new process from day one. When an ACQUISITION is definitely required by the customer, the development of the process and the construction of the machine tool can be done in parallel in order to reduce the response time to market with a new concept and/or technology.
